Slovenian forestry institute

The Slovenian Forestry Institute is a public research institute of national importance, which conducts basic and applied research on forests and forest landscapes, forest ecosystems, wildlife ecology, hunting, forest management, and other uses of the resources and services forests provide. The scientific knowledge from these fields helps further the research on forest biodiversity and its management in relation to climate change.

Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation 

The Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation is the main national professional organization in the field of nature conservation. It was established in 1999 by the Nature Conservation Act. Seven regional units provide high-quality coverage of the terrain on the entire territory of Slovenia.

Institute Symbiosis

Institute Symbiosis is a private non-profit organisation, working in nature conservation research and education. Our work includes projects and services in cooperation with protected areas, developing nature conservation policies and education, research and eradication of alien species. Since 2016 we also have a status of social enterprise and organise ecotourism activities.

Slovenia Forest Service

The Slovenia Forest Service is a public institution, established by the Republic of Slovenia (The Act on Forests,
1993), which performs public forestry service in all Slovenian forests, irrespective of ownership.
