HABITAT: Forests, farmland, urban environments where Black locust trees are present.
STATUS IN SLOVENIA: Widespread everywhere where Black locust trees occur.
SIMILAR SPECIES: Adult moths are very similar to several other species in the family Gracillariidae, but of these only Locust digitate leaf miner (Parectopa robiniella) shares the same host plant species. They can be distinguished by the shape of the leaf-mines.
