First finding in Slovenia: Not yet found in nature in Slovenia.
Pathways: Ornamental plant for garden ponds. Also hitchhiker between other ornamental aquatic plants. Secondary spread by the water current, possibly also by animals, both as seeds and as stem fragments, which quickly root.
Possible to find: March-October
Flowering season: June-September
Habitat: Shallow water in wetlands: along standing and slow-moving water, riversides and moist meadows.
Status in Slovenia: Not yet found in nature in Slovenia.
Similar species: Creeping water primrose, Ludwigia peploides, and Marsh seedbox, L. palustris.
